Top Asian multi-sport brand TRI-Factor has announced a bigger World Championship event in China Quzhou on 21-22 September 2019. This year's 11th edition saw a greater demand of athletes join the TRI-Factor global program, with the addition of new countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia. The top 50 winners from the 2019 regional TRI-Factor races will qualify for the TRI-Factor World Championship elite race with a total cash prize purse of more $20,000. All registration for the age group athlete slots were sold out within hours from launch.
TRI-Factor believes that everyone deserve a chance to achieve their upmost potential and aspires to provide a progressive and comprehensive platform of races for all athletes across varying capabilities to get together and inspire each other to excel and drive deeper commitment towards an active and healthy lifestyle. In line with their mission, TRI-Factor has also launched new awards including:
1. Series World Champions
2. Best Country Athlete of the Year
3. Best Country Junior Athlete of the Year
4. Best Veteran Country Athlete of the Year
5. Top First-Timer Athlete
6. Top First-Timer Junior Athlete
Companies and triathlon clubs can also get on the board with the Club Challenge and Corporate Challenge for their respective country and regional categories.
With two new iconic race destinations in Vietnam - Vung Tau and Indonesia - Belitung, TRI-Factor will be working closely with the National Triathlon Federations and local partners to embed the TF Academy grassroot programs in 2020. This expansion and initiative seeks to reach out to a wider community and to provide athletes across countries and with the opportunity to progress further into the sport and beyond.
