SPD Ability Walk and Run 2019 is the 4th walk that SPD is organising to raise funds in aid of its programmes and services that enable and empower people with disabilities to be independent and self-reliant. This event also aims to provide an opportunity for people of different abilities to interact together and serves to promote inclusion and raise awareness of disabilities.

This year, SPD is introducing a 5km fun run category in addition to the usual 3km fun walk, with the intention of attracting leisure runners to join this meaningful event.

During the event, participants can enjoy experiential learning through simulated activities and games, such as the Wheelchair Challenge where they try to manoeuvre a mini obstacle course in a wheelchair.

In addition, participants who signed up for the event will receive an event t-shirt, towel and drawstring bag. 5km run participants will receive a finisher medal as well.

Date: 1 September 2019, Sunday
Time:
8.00am
