Singapore Kindness Run 2019

The run was initiated by Runners' Heart-Reach, a Ground Up Movement supported by the Singapore Kindness Movement. Since the inaugural run in May 2017, they have recruited over 1,000 Kindness Ambassadors through the 10km Ambassador Run. These Ambassadors are subsequently "planted" in other local races and in the running community to share about proper running etiquette with fellow runners. They include good running behaviours such as keeping left unless overtaking during running, not running more than 2 abreast to prevent blocking and also to bin their cups at proper disposal bins at running events.

This year, the run will be held at the National Stadium as part of GetActive! Singapore (GASG). GASG takes place in the week leading up to National Day and aims to foster a stronger Singapore spirit and promote active lifestyles through sport. There are 3 Run categories - namely the 10km Ambassador Run, 3.5km Fun Run and also the all-time favourite 800m Kids' Dash.

All participants for the 10km Ambassador Run will be given a finisher Ambassador Tee and be empowered to spread the message of gracious running in Singapore. Upon completing the race, all participants in the 3 categories will receive a specially designed medal in the shape of SINGA, THE LION, that also doubles up as a keychain to remind runners of their commitment to kindness.
