The Supersports Laguna Phuket Marathon will take place for the 15th time from 13th to 14th June at Laguna Phuket, welcoming 15,000 runners from more than 70 countries over the two days.

Known for its international standard, being certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon, Supersports Laguna Phuket Marathon is also a fun, family-friendly event that has grown to become one of the leading destination marathons in South East Asia.

Runners will compete in six distances across the two days: the 2km fun run, 5km and 10.5km will take place on Saturday 13th June as the sun sets, and the Half Marathon (21.0975 km), Marathon (42.195 km) and Marathon Relay (42.195 km) will take place on Sunday 14th June as the sun rises. All distances start and finish at Laguna Grove, Laguna Phuket.

With over 12,000 runners participating last year, the organisers are expecting more runners this year. The event has observed a steady growth in the participation numbers annually since its inaugural edition. This increase is a reflection of the popularity of the event, the world-class standards employed as well as the beautiful course.

What makes the event unique is the course and the venue. Running along quiet lanes, past rubber plantations and coconut palms, and through the beachfront national park is an experience that runners can never forget. Having the convenience of Laguna Phuket's multiple hotels and resorts, and award-winning hospitality on the event's doorstep, makes Supersports Laguna Phuket Marathon the destination marathon of choice for many.

Hosted at Laguna Phuket, which was recognised as the Best Sports Event Venue in Thailand (Gold) at Asia’s Sports Industry Awards & Conference (SPIA Asia), the event is also a meaningful platform to raise funds for Laguna Phuket Foundation’s Children First Fund (CFF) in support of more than 400 children at seven Phuket orphanages. As with previous years, runners and spectators are encouraged to visit Laguna Phuket's CSR booth to make a contribution and leave a positive impact on Phuket. This year, the event is also proud to announce Supersports, one of Thailand's best retailer of sportswear, shoes and equipment, as their title sponsor.
