Former Water Polo player Yi Heng never liked running, but caught the endurance bug after being introduced to triathlon. He has since gone on to head the Nanyang Technological University Triathlon team as well as compete in many events abroad such as the Ironman 70.3 World Championships and ITU Multi-sport World Cup under the national triathlon squad. 2020 marks his 8th year. The full-time Design Engineer is also one of the founders of the Iron Project charity movement and an active coach for TRIBAL Singapore (@triathlon.singapore), having a strong passion for guiding others towards their triathlon goals.
Co-founder of X-Runners and an avid runner, Cindy enjoys sharing her passion and adventures of running. She started leisure running in late 2016 and turned competitive in 2018, making it to the top 10 at SCSM 2018.
David is a certified running coach and sports therapist with over 15 years of experience working with running enthusiasts. He is passionate in understanding the uniqueness in every runner and helping all to achieve a healthy and sporting lifestyle. His determination to turn his running experience into information for sharing has led to his most recent work with physically and intellectually challenged athletes in the quest to perform their very best.
Jeri Chua (MSc Exercise & Nutrition Science) is an accomplished endurance athlete and ultra-runner who got her start as a Singapore national team triathlete. She has successfully competed in endurance events such as the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, the Ultra Trail Mont-Blanc 168km ultra-marathon in France and the 330km Tor Des Geants mountain ultra-marathon in Italy. Lester started running in 2010 and continues to race whenever opportunities arise. Over the years, he has competed in numerous events ranging from 200m track races to trail ultramarathons. In his spare time, Lester reads widely and goes on microadventures.
Once known for her work and style as a marketing and public relations professional, Marie Choo (@mariechoo) is known to many as The Dog Alchemist these days, after giving up her career in the corporate world to become a dog behaviourist and trainer. She has also transformed herself into an ultra-trail runner who runs distances of 100km and more to raise funds and awareness for animal shelters in Singapore through her charity outreach, I RUN FOR RESCUE DOGS. As an avid photographer using her phone cam, she loves taking pics of nature when she is out hiking on trails and urban landscapes. When time permits, this multi-hyphenate also goes on adventure holidays to explore mountains and caves.
Roberto De Vido is the Social Media Director of Red Dot Running Company. He was once a reasonably competitive runner, but old age and injuries ended all that years ago. He now runs mainly in order to fit into his clothes. Find out more at https://www.rdrc.sg/
