This year’s edition of the 2XU Compression Run will take place in the early morning of 8th April, and if you’re hoping to get a last minute entry in, you’re out of luck because the race has sold out!
It has traditionally been one of the more well-organised races that take place in the city precinct, with the Half Marathon route looping around the Kallang River Basin and the Singapore Sports Hub, and the shorter 10km and 5km routes going part of the way along the Kallang River.
With the earliest wave of runners set to be flagged off at 4.30am, the race winners will cross the line before sunrise, but there’s plenty to do still, with a post-race yoga session scheduled for 7.45am, 15 minutes before the 5km fun run flags off. Live music will also be a feature of the morning, so there’s no need to dash off when you’ve finished with the run itself.
If you haven’t been in the loop for the 2XU Compression Run, then perhaps it’s time to keep up to date for next year’s race. It’s one of Singapore’s best running events taking place away from the peak running season.
