Have you ever tried bouncing yourself off walls on an office swivel chair, skating past cubicles in a manic sort of glee only to be caught by the boss who was decidedly NOT happy with the fact that employees were using office resources to play games? If the answer is yes, you might want to take part in the ISU1 Endurance Race.
Happening on the 4th of November 2017, the event will be held at the F1 Pit Lane and will have 2 categories, with a maximum of 60 teams of three that can enter the event. In order to decide which event they will go to, all teams will have to participate in the qualifiers, sending one representative to race within a stretch of 100 meters.
The results will be tabulated and participants will be split into two separate groups. The top 30 teams will be competing in the 90-minute race while the rest will be vying in the 60-minute category.
The objective?
Every team has to get the highest number of loops they can make within the time limit.
This may seem like a rather challenging race, but as proven by the Japanese, the race works. The original team that created the race, the Japan Office Race Association (JORA), has organised the event annually in Kyotanabe-shi, Kyoto Prefecture, as well as in different parts of Japan, China and Taiwan.
Fuji Xerox Singapore, who is the official sponsor for the local event, hopes that this activity can bring more people together by inculcating a sense of team spirit and bonding between colleagues.
Tickets are on sale, and you can register on www.isu1.sg to sign up for you and your team members.
