Goji berries

The bane of a few Chinese children when forced to drink down herbal soup by over enthusiastic grandparents, goji berries are known for their anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidizing benefits in Chinese medicine and help prevent a lot of diseases. They also boost a healthy Vitamin C and Vitamin A content, fibre, iron, and complex carbohydrates.

Matcha Powder

It ain’t easy being green but matcha powder can make being healthy much easier. The humble green powder is different from regular green tea, as 100% of the nutrients is absorbed when consumed. The benefits are not something to sniff at either. Matcha powder is anti-oxidizing and can boost your metabolism while enhancing your moods and rich in fibre.

Himalayan Rock Salt

Apart from its very instagrammable appearance, the pink Himalayan Rock Salt has properties that make it more beneficial that normal table salt will ever reach. For one thing, the pink hue exists due to iron oxide and contains trace amounts of calcium, potassium and magnesium. The naturally harvested salt makes it better than table salt, due to lesser processing in the manufacturing.

Longan

The old story behind longans is that if you feed a child lots of it, their eyes will glow round and bright against the dark. In real life, longans can help in a variety of ways and is one of the fruits used in Chinese medicine. The flesh of the fruit is known to help boost energy, improve skin health, relieve stress, and improve blood circulation through the body.

Pandan:

The humble pandan leaf is used for cooking in South East Asia and is a staple household product for lots of reasons, but their health benefits are numerous, ranging from easing chest pain, headaches, lowering blood pressure, improving nerve health and more! It helps that the pandan leaves are fragrant and one of a kind, which means nothing else can replace the taste.
