The world series of fitness racing, HYROX, is making its debut in Southeast Asia on 7 October 2023 at the Singapore National Stadium. The event has gained recognition in Europe, North America, and Australia, with over 70% of slots already filled since the registration for the inaugural race in Singapore commenced.
With the expected attendance of 4,000 participants and 2,000 spectators, an electrifying festival-like atmosphere can be anticipated. HYROX offers four categories in which participants can race in: Single Open, Single Pro, Doubles and Team Relay. The mass participation indoor race features both running and eight functional workout stations such as SkiErg, Farmers Carry and Sandbag Lunges which are accommodating for both professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
Since its launch in Germany in 2017 with 650 participants, HYROX has since expanded into 17 countries with over 120,000 participants each year. It has garnered much attraction from both professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The race series has retained its format across the world that incorporate functional movements commonly used in everyday life, allowing HYROX to remain appealing and accessible for people of all fitness levels.
HYROX Singapore is set to be an iconic event as it takes place at the largest venue in the history of the race series, Singapore National Stadium. Gary Wan, HYROX APAC Managing Director, said: “We are excited to bring HYROX to Singapore this October and are looking forward to hosting HYROX at the Singapore National Stadium.
