Don’t just get fit, get Oxfitt! Taking place on 7th July at the Marina Barrage, this single-category race has been upgraded from last year’s 15km distance to a proper half marathon. The name comes from the combination of ‘Ox’ with ‘Fitt’, implying exceptional fitness and endurance like that of an Ox.
With just over 2000 runners expected, this mid-scale event is a great way to start a Sunday morning.
The attractive entry fee of just S$55 looks even better when you consider that the entitlements include a full set of Oxfitt exclusive running top and compression tights, a grip water bottle and a gold finisher medal.
Not only top 3 winners will receive a trophy with prizes and vouchers based on gun time, the top 25 women and male based on nett time will get an exclusive Oxfitt waterproof bag pack worth $50.
In an effort to reduce waste, runners are advised to bring along their own bottles for refilling at the stations. Race cut-off is a generous four hours, so even if you’re not fast, there is little worry about not being able to complete the route within the time limit.
Registration is closing soon, so if you currently have no plans for the first Sunday of July and are capable of completing a half marathon, get your entry in quick here: http://www.oxfittrun.com/race-information.html
