3M has made a promise to sponsor $30,000 worth of Futuro products to the SportsCares Foundation, the community sports programme that nurtures young under-reached individuals and community groups, but only if you help!
Launched today at the SAFRA EnergyOne gym by Team Singapore athletes Mok Ying Ren, Shaheed Alam and Ren-ne Ong, the campaign invites members of the public to come together to run 2000km collectively.
You can do so by using the treadmills at any of the four SAFRA EnergyOne gyms from 20th to 28th January, or after that, use the ActiveSG mobile app to track your workouts. While a Team Futuro facilitator will be on hand at the EnergyOne gyms to record your mileage, ActiveSG app mileage is updated automatically.
The first $10,000 was raised at the launch event this morning at the SAFRA Toa Payoh Club when the Team Singapore athletes and campaign ambassadors took to the treadmills. From tomorrow, every 500km collectively accumulated by the running community will see 3M Futuro pledge $5000 worth of products to SportsCares until the $30,000 target is reached.
The 3M Futuro range of products is designed for active sports people, with support bands and braces for all limbs and joints, to aid mobility and pain relief. The donated items will be utilised by budding young athletes that are under the tutelage of the SportsCares program.
