2016 National Vertical Marathon

Climbing to the top of the One Raffles Place building and be rewarded with a spectacular view of the Singapore city skyline! That was the selling point of the National Vertical Marathon, organised by the Nanyang Technological University Sports Club. The 2016 edition took place on 22nd May. While the race may have been quite short compared to a typical road running race, taking only 15 to 20 minutes for many of the participants, it was also more challenging as compared to simply running along paths on flat ground. But the view was rewarding and really worth the climb though. Many of the participants had spent a long time admiring the beautiful skyscrapers of urban Singapore, with many friends spending up to an hour at the top not only waiting for each other, but also to take lots of selfies and wefies against the backdrop.

RUN Singapore is the first flagship title created by Bold Ink Magazines in 2012.
